Description...

An abstract painting that experiments with the contrast between a brightly colored, lively background and a dark, intense navy blue foreground. The background pulls colors from nature: burnt sienna, rich blues, brilliant yellows and greens. The *shimmer* brush strokes adds distinct edges while the centers remain slightly translucent, blending with the colors beneath. A wider brush was used to create the bold navy blue borders as well as the off-center contrast division.

Measurements (approximate): 20" x 16" x 3/4", stretched canvas.

Original acrylic painting on a gallery stretched canvas with staple free sides. Sides are painted black and the painting is ready to hang. Sealed with archival finish to preserve the painting. Signed by the artist. Copyright mark on photo only. Colors may differ slightly depending on your monitor settings and the lighting in the room where it will be hung.
